We identify and recruit people who match each study’s specific criteria, so the insights are accurate and relevant. It’s one of the most important parts of what we do — you were invited because your profile fits.
Your time and opinions are valued by us and our clients. Each project has a budget to compensate you for the time you spend in a session — whether it’s an interview, focus group or survey.
Key research methods
The project manager or recruiter will always guide you through your study. Don’t hesitate to ask questions — your opinion will always be valued.
A group discusses a topic or product, guided by a moderator. Participants are encouraged to talk with each other, which often reveals deeper insight into attitudes, preferences and reactions. Focus groups are often used to explore new ideas, test concepts or understand emotional responses to a brand.
An in-person survey with a moderator guiding you through the questionnaire — usually because real items need to be seen or tested, from new chocolate bar designs to real cars. Sessions are typically run without discussion so answers stay unbiased.
A one-on-one, open-ended conversation about your thoughts, feelings and experiences on a topic. Interviews suit sensitive subjects and nuanced opinions that might not come out in a group.
Researchers spend time with you in your own environment — at home, at work or elsewhere — to see how products and services fit into daily life, and to spot needs that surveys can miss.
Similar to an interview, but focused on how you use a product, service or website. Where should a button go? What would make it easier? Many websites are shaped by sessions like these.
Surveys, in-home visits, online diaries, mystery shopping, store audits — new methods are developed all the time, and your recruiter will explain exactly what yours involves.
Where projects happen
Usually at a professional market research facility. Depending on the method, it may be a hotel meeting room, a store, or your own home or office.
Run online on platforms like Zoom, or on custom platforms built specifically for market research.
